Long Live the Bathroom Project!

It began as a little lump under the paint...

And now, after tiling the floor, untiling and retiling the floor, after gutting the walls, plastering, un-plastering, and re-plastering again, I'm pleased to announce...

...We have gutted our ceiling.

Turns out, the leak was in our roof.

Perhaps its time to add that room upstairs? One thing leads to another.

Being on our third fixer upper, I know this feeling too well. Sometimes I would rather just live in a yurt or becoming a Traveler.

Your door and light look nice?

We're almost afraid to figure out which light in the bathroom consistently blows the fuse, because it might lead to a major rewiring. Right now the inconvenience of not having any overhead lights in that half of the house is free.

Such is the story of renovation projects. And at one point in my life, I actually thought I wanted to live in a fixer upper. Though living in one has cured me of that quickly enough.

I love it! Since we have spent the past four years updating our 1930's home, your post made me chuckle with appreciation. Thanks for the smile!
